Description: The cassowary lives in the tropical rainforests of north-eastern Queensland, Australia, (also New Guinea). The feed on fallen fruit, one of their favourites being 'Blue Quandong' shown in the painting. The male cassowary incubates the eggs and raises the chicks, this painting shows him with his chick.

The paper used in this Grumbacher watercolour and Gouache painting is Arches 620gsm watercolour paper, (like board). The painting comes double matted with a backing of foam core board ready to be framed, all materials used are acid free.
